Gulfstream Expands Savannah MRO Hub

Gulfstream is further expanding its Savannah-based Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility, Gulfstream Customer Support, located at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.

The $99 million second phase of the expansion will generate 250 new jobs and add an extra 200,000 square feet (18,580 square meters) to the center.

Upon completion in early next year, the facility will offer additional services, including scheduled regular inspections, avionics installations, interior upgrades, and aircraft on ground support.

Mark Burns, President of Gulfstream, stated that the enlargement is necessary to accommodate the growing demand for the OEM's fleet globally. He added, "Persistent investments in cutting-edge products, contemporary customer support facilities, and our communities distinguish Gulfstream in our sector."

This second phase supplements the two existing Gulfstream service centers in Savannah, the latest of which commenced operations in 2019.

Recently, the OEM inaugurated its new US West Coast Sales and Design Center in Beverly Hills, California.
