Cirrus Aircraft Achieves Aviation Milestone with Delivery of 500th SF50 Vision Jet

Cirrus Aircraft is soaring to new heights as it celebrates the delivery of its 500th SF50 Vision Jet, marking a significant milestone for the single-engine personal jet that took the aviation world by storm since its launch in 2016.

The $3.29 million SF50 Vision Jet has undergone continuous upgrades, starting with the Vision Jet G2 in 2019 and the G2+ in 2021. Packed with features like Gogo inflight Wi-Fi, Autothrottle, Safe Return Emergency Autoland, the Garmin Perspective Touch+ flight deck, and a ballistic parachute, this jet redefines the flying experience.

Cirrus Aircraft has left an indelible mark on the aviation landscape, making the transition from propeller-driven aircraft to turbojet operations seamless. With a design that shares similarities with the Cirrus SR series, pilots find the Vision Jet an intuitive next step.

To commemorate this achievement, Cirrus has introduced a Limited Edition Vision Jet with five unique liveries crafted by the Xi Design Studio team. Owners can choose from five exterior colors, complemented by Obsidian black and Vision blue paint. Inside, the cabin exudes luxury with heathered gray crew seats, leather headrests embroidered with the 500th edition emblem, and diamond-patterned leather accents.

The success of the Vision Jet is not just in numbers but in its impact on the market. About half of the demand for the jet comes from pilots of Cirrus SR-20, SR-22, and SR22T, making it a natural progression in their aviation journey. Repeat buyers constitute 20%, while the remaining 30% are nonpilots entering the world of private aviation.

“The Vision Jet is the only jet that features advanced innovations like the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS), Safe Return Autoland, Wi-Fi, Cirrus IQ, and Auto Radar,” says Zean Nielsen, Cirrus Aircraft CEO.

Recent innovations include Garmin’s Auto Radar, providing increased situational awareness and connectivity during flights. Owners also have the option to power their aircraft using Sustainable Aviation Fuel, aligning with Cirrus Aircraft's commitment to sustainability.
