Boeing Unveils 144 Modular Combinations for 737 MAX 7 Private Jet

Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) is revolutionizing the private jet market with its latest offering, BBJ Select, a series approach that allows customers to choose from a stunning array of 144 modular combinations for their Boeing 737 MAX 7 private jets. This game-changing announcement was made at the National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas on October 16, 2023.

The BBJ Select program is a departure from the traditional bespoke cabin design approach, offering pre-designed options that cater to a wide range of preferences, making it more accessible and time-efficient for customers. With modules for guest rooms, private offices, family rooms, and VIP passenger seating, clients can easily configure their jet's interior to meet their unique needs.

One of the standout features of BBJ Select is the availability of three different color palettes that cover personal, business, and head-of-state requirements, ensuring that every aspect of the cabin reflects the client's taste and style.

Joe Benson, President of Boeing Business Jets, expressed his enthusiasm for this innovative approach, saying, "Boeing Business Jets is offering customers a new, streamlined approach to designing a unique, comfortable, and functional interior for our BBJ 737-7 jet. For customers who may not have the time or desire to create a fully bespoke interior, BBJ Select offers pre-designed options to outfit their cabin, which allows us to offer the jet at a very attractive, fixed price."

In addition to simplifying the design process, BBJ is also streamlining the purchasing experience. Customers will sign a single contract with Boeing, which will oversee the entire process, from design to build and delivery, ensuring a seamless and efficient journey for those acquiring the fully outfitted VIP aircraft.

BBJ Select is exclusively available for the BBJ 737-7, the latest addition to the BBJ 737 MAX family. Boeing anticipates that this faster completions track, combined with the 737-7's impressive 15-hour nonstop flight capability, will make it highly appealing to executives and high-net-worth individuals seeking the ultimate in luxury air travel.

This approach by Boeing Business Jets follows a trend in the private aviation industry, with competitor Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ) having a similar program for its ACJ220 aircraft. Comlux, an aviation firm based in Switzerland with a large completions center in Indianapolis, Indiana, offers multiple interior choices for ACJ220 clients.

While BBJ has not reported any firm orders yet, they expect the first converted 737-7 to potentially enter service by 2026, offering a glimpse into the future of luxurious and customizable private jet travel. With an array of cabin layouts and color palettes to choose from, the sky is no longer the limit when it comes to crafting the perfect private jet experience.
